NOV. 30, 2005 | A new
map from the Rural Early Childhood Atlas
displays the disproportionate number of counties
in the Hurricane Katrina region with young child
poverty rates above the national rate.
For children ages 0-5 years, only eight counties
in the region have rates below the national rate
for poverty.
