Rural Early Childhood, MSU Extension Service Develop On-line Course about Brain Development

JULY 5, 2006 | The National Center for Rural Early Childhood Learning Initiatives has sponsored development of an on-line course about infant brain development for extension agents. The course, "Early Childhood Brain Development," is available here: cecp-online.org, listed under the Family and Personal heading. Anyone can view the course after registering and creating their own user name and password.

The authors of the course are Dr. Diane D. Sasser, Louisiana State University, Associate Professor of Family and Child Development and Dr. Diane Bales, Cooperative Extension Service, University of Georgia, Associate Professor of Child and Family Development and Human Development Specialist.

Lynn Bell of the MSU Early Childhood Institute designed and produced the graphics for the course.

The Cooperative Extension Curriculum Project (CECP) is the on-line host of the course and many other courses relevant to rural service providers.
